They met in 2016, conveniently right after Valentine's Day. Ricky was talking to a friend in their business fraternity about ice cream. Katie, of course, chimed in, because she is obsessed with ice cream. The conversation led the two to plan a movie and ice cream night with several others later that week.

After that night, Katie and Ricky became inseparable. They were constantly talking, texting, or spending time with each other. It became obvious how much they cared for each other.

That piece never changed in their 8 years of studying abroad, changing jobs/industries, moving to NYC, moving back home during COVID, and living a state away from each other. They were still each other's best friends and confidants.

On March 9th, 2024, Ricky asked Katie the most important question to date, "will you marry me?"

Katie said yes in front of their family and close friends, whom Ricky snuck in without her knowing, on a rooftop overlooking the Chicago skyline.

Their wedding is set for April 26th, 2025 and they look forward to having YOU there!
